Needing no introduction in the world of art, streetwear and most certainly trainers, Amsterdam based artist Piet Parra is resurrecting a once perfect partnership between himself and Nike, and this new project released in July 2018 is the duo's first since 2005. The outcome is the Air Max 1 x Parra, debuted alongside a track jacket and Zoom Spiridon, this kick is a celebration of Parras work using the iconic Air Max 1 silhouette as its canvas. This shoe undoubtedly comes in as one of the most colourful and unique trainers on the market right now, sticking with Parra's light-hearted design language, this pair makes use of several artful details, features colourful fragments from the artist's work, inspired by the Dutch countryside and his love of visual pop culture. No one can argue this trainer is striking, and it's an interesting blend of stripes, polka dot, custom insoles and the Dutch artists embroidered logo that makes this shoe, less of just a trainer but an art installation in its own right. This shoe wouldn't look out of place in a frame, so why wouldn't you want to make this the centrepiece of your hottest styles.
